Designer, Gurpreet Pia Fleming embarked on her career in fashion after graduating from the 1st nominated class of NIFT Delhi at its inception. Under the guidance of Dean Streiter (Dean of FIT who launched NIFT in India), she traveled to New York to study to further her knowledge in fashion at FIT. Pia apprenticed at Tommy Hilfiger and Nordstroms. She launched her line of accessories in 2002 in New York called BIAN (mysterious in Vietnamese). Soon after, she participated in Toronto fashion week and introduced her contemporary design collection BIAN. Bian was introduced in India in the year of 2006 at the opening of her flagship store in destination shopping area in Lodi Colony. Her contemporary collection has a distinct sense of style. It exudes modern feminity.
