Steven McCracken, president of DuPont Textiles and Interiors, will give the 17th annual Grisham-Trentham Lecture for
Auburn University's College of Human Sciences on April 10 at the Hotel & Dixon Conference Center Auditorium.
McCracken's 11 a.m. presentation will focus on how 21st century and future consumers can be inspired by the apparel and textile industry.
DuPont Textiles and Interiors, based in Wilmington, Del., is a wholly owned subsidiary that was formed by DuPont and Ciba Specialty Chemicals. The company is an offshoot of the apparel and textile sciences business that McCracken created in 2001.
The Grisham-Trentham Lectureship was established by Gary Trentham to expose students to internationally respected fashion experts. The event is named for Trentham, who taught at Auburn for 23 years, and funded by Auburn supporters, the late Charles Grisham and Betty Grisham of Huntsville.
